Mixed-methods studies utilise a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods. A mixed-methods research approach is most appropriate for dissertation studies for which the quantitative data is significantly limited in some way or for studies that would benefit from utilising both numerical and open-ended responses for interpretation.
